Session 1: ICD-10-CM Coding Updates for 2026

Live Date - October 8, 2025

 Time - 1 PM ET

Duration - 60 Mins

Speaker - Jill M. Young

ICD-10-CM new codes are now released twice a year.  But the vast majority of the changes are released with an effective date of October 1st.  This year there are 614 new codes which invalidate 12 codes.  There are also changes to the guidelines that need to be understood by all those who use the ICD-10-CM codes.  As always, the updates and changes to codes and guidelines, is to reflect advancements in medical knowledge and terminology.

For all who work with codes whether assigning or verifying knowledge of new codes and changes is imperative to compliant coding beginning September 1st.  Even though workers and providers may not work specifically with the new codes, a perfunctory knowledge of all new codes is a best practice for them.

This webinar goes into the rationale for the new codes and changes in order for the user to understand how to best utilize the codes.  It also discusses the guideline changes and additions to give the most up to date understanding of how the rules may affect code selection and use.
